No changes for Monaghan as Malone and Hughes overcome fitness concerns

The pair have recovered in time for Sunday’s Ulster decider.

MALACHY O’ROURKE has named his starting XV as Monaghan look to secure back-to-back Ulster titles for the first time in over eighty years.

Both Dermot Malone and Kieran Hughes have won their fitness battles after picking up knocks in the semi-final replay with Armagh.

Hughes has reportedly featured sparingly for the Farney in training due to knee problems while Malone’s wrist injury sustained was not as bad as feared.

Their inclusion means Malachy O’Rourke can name an unchanged starting line-up from the one that had five points to spare over Paul Grimley’s men two weeks ago.

Throw-in in Clones is at 4pm Sunday.
